Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email, and authentication details when you sign up or sign in.
• Workspace and membership data: workspaces you create or join, roles, and preferences (e.g., default workspace).
• Documents and uploads: files and metadata you upload for processing, including optional OCR/ASR where applicable.
• Derived data: analysis outputs, summaries, comparisons, and vector embeddings generated to enable retrieval and reuse.
• Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, and limited device and browser information for reliability and security.
• Billing information: handled by our payments processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

How We Use Information

• Provide and improve the service and core features (projects, jobs, runs).
• Process documents to create summaries, comparisons, and collections.
• Operate retrieval features using vector embeddings for faster, relevant results.
• Personalize your experience and remember your workspace preferences.
• Provide billing and account administration.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Data Storage and Security

We use managed infrastructure to store application data (including documents, analysis outputs, and embeddings). Data is transmitted over HTTPS in transit and is encrypted at rest by our providers. We apply access controls (including row-level security) to restrict data access to authorized users. While no system can be 100% secure, we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

AI/Model Providers

To perform tasks like summarization, extraction, and comparison, we may transmit your inputs to third‑party AI model providers strictly to perform the requested processing. We do not permit model providers to use your data to train their foundation models. Outputs are stored in your workspace to support your workflow.

Payments

Subscription and payment processing is handled by our payments partner. We receive limited billing-related metadata (e.g., customer ID, plan, status) and do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies/local storage to operate the service (e.g., session and authentication state). We may store minimal onboarding preferences (such as a selected plan) in session storage to streamline signup. We do not use marketing cookies.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your content while your account remains active. You can delete content you control (e.g., projects, documents) from within the app. When you delete content, we remove it from active systems and subsequently from backups on a rolling basis.

Sharing and Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We share information with service providers that help us run Davolo (e.g., cloud hosting, database, payments, email). These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• We may disclose information as required by law, to protect our rights or users, or to investigate abuse or security incidents.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond as required by applicable law.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. When transferring personal data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards as required by law.

Children

Davolo is not intended for children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The “Effective date” above indicates when this Policy was last updated.
